Free use of the hall for all scout activities
Provide two storage sheds for the Boy Scouts
Free use of the hall for the Enumclaw Garden Club
Free use of the hall for the Enumclaw School District’s new teacher’s breakfast
Free use of the hall for the Plateau Quilters. (This group makes and
distributes “Quilts of Valor” to veterans and have presented over 1,200 of
these quilts)
Free use of the hall for memorial services (both veterans and non-veterans)
Free use of the hall to the Rainier Foothills Wellness Foundation
Provide storage facilities for all the flags flown at Evergreen Cemetery on
Memorial Day
Onsite storage facilities for chairs, shelters, sound system, and flags used
for the annual Enumclaw Memorial Day service
Provide storage facilities for flags awaiting proper disposal.
Provides secure storage for the Post’s Honor Guard. (The Honor Guard provides
Military Honors for deceased veterans at local cemeteries and at Tahoma
National Cemetery)
Our regular activities
Honor Guard services at the Purple Heart Memorial and Tahoma National Cemetery Memorial Day Programs Voice of Democracy Audio Essay Contest for 9th through 12th grade students. Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest for 6th through 8th grade students. Cub Scout and Boy Scout charter organization and program support. Service Officers provide aid and support for local veterans and their families. Veterans Day addresses at local schools and retirement facilities
Memorial Day
Memorial Day VFW members and area cub and boy scouts place flags on veteran’s graves at the Evergreen Cemetery Flag retirement ceremony for all flags that are no longer serviceable. This is a joint project with Enumclaw Scouts. Memorial Day Remembrance Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Park (Purple Heart Monument) Supporting other Veterans
